How to Draw The Dude

Are you ready to draw the Dude? Good, so am I. Start with the head guide shape and then the guidelines for the face and body.

Next, draw out the shape of the face which is the beard outline and some of the cheeks. You will also draw in the mouth and nose holes.

Next, give the Dude those signature sunglasses and color them in solid. When that is done draw the lining that creates the beard.

You can now draw the shaggy hairstyle which is long and a bit wavy.

Here you will draw the sleeves to the robe he is always wearing along with the arms and both hands. One of those hands is making the peace gesture.

Lastly, finish the robe and then draw in his drink. Add definition to the clothes and arms and then you can erase the mistakes and visible guides.

That's it. The Dude is done now you can color him in to bring this legend to life.

I wanted to do something creative and also something that fit Jeff Bridges character from The Big Lebowski which happens to be one of my favorite movies.
