Color in the pupils, and then lightly sketch the top lid of his eyes like you see here. From here on out, all the drawing will be done in light sketching strokes. You will begin by making the shading around the nose to detail and define the nose like you see here, and then do the same thing to the mouth. This will add shape, body, texture to the mouth inside and out. When that is all done, you can start the process of sketching out the full filled beard. Be sure to add texture to the beard by adding in the wavy lines and strokes. Now you can make the earlobe, and then shade in the small visible area inside of the ear as well. You will then begin sketching out his hair starting around the ear. It is important for you to take your time. If you are one of those artists that doesn't pay too much mind to the text in the steps, at least follow the red line art to show you what to do next.
