How to Draw Sunset Shimmer

Let's begin by making the head, body and limb guides like so. You will also need to sketch in the facial guidelines.

Here draw the left ear, then draw in the angle of her face shape which includes the nose, mouth and some of the head.

Cap the open gap on the head with her mane. Even though Sunset Shimmer is known to be evil, she still has a beautiful flowing mane. Draw in her unicorn horn, then move along to step four.

Now we will give Sunset Shimmer her angry expression on her face by drawing the long slants for the brows, then from there draw the shapes of her eyes. Add the mouth detailing, then draw in the definition on the horn.

You are already almost done with this tutorial. Draw the neck, chest, front leg and back leg. When that is done you will need to add the stomach too.

Draw in the rest of her legs, then add a bit of detailing to the hind leg before hopping to step seven.

And lastly, draw in Sunset Shimmer's long wavy tail and then her cutie mark which is a burning shimmering sun. Erase all your mistakes and you are done.

Add some color to your MLP character to bring her to life, but keep her away from the other ponies.
