How to Draw Luiz

Step 1.


Luiz has tow main parts to the body that you have to draw out to use as guides. The first is the round head so draw that now. Next, draw the rock like shape for the body like so and then add in the guidelines for his face.

Step 2.


Here you will begin drawing out the top of his head, and then his small pointed ears like so. Also sketch in some detailing lining to get his forehead drawn in.

Step 3.


Now you will draw out the upper part of his face which is the nose, mouth, and sagging jowls. Once that is done, draw the bottom mouth line, and then draw in the lower jaw and chin which also turns into the neck.

Step 4.


Draw the marking around his eye like so, and then draw in the eyes, and eyeballs too. Next, draw the small squished in nose, and fill his mouth with some sharp dogie teeth as he smiles widely for you.

Step 5.


Begin sketching out his wrinkled body. You can do this by including wave like bumps on the back of his neck, around his back ankle, and on his chubby wrist. Draw in the front paw, and move to step six.

Step 6.


Sketch in the belly, and then draw the rest of his stubby legs and paws like so. You are already almost done drawing Luiz.

Step 7.


Lastly, draw in the marking lines that gives this dog a two toned coat and a saddle back. Erase the lines and shapes to clean him up, and then get ready to color him in.

Step 8.


Look how active he looks. Now go ahead and color him in to complete this lesson on how to draw Luiz from Rio.

Description: Does anyone remember that character I uploaded as a lesson from a new movie coming out in April called “Rio”? Well, today I am going to be submitting two more animals from the film that are going to be main figures. To start, lets learn "how to draw Luiz", step by step from the movie Rio. Now according to the official website, Luiz is a friendly bulldog that has the looks of an unfriendly foe who hangs out with these birds named Blu, Jewel, Rafael, Pedro and Nico, and the unfriendly bird, Nigel. In the movie Luiz helps Blu as he embarks on his long journey from his home, to somewhere he's never been before. Luiz may not be a bird, but he definitely proves that he can be an animals best friend appose to a mans best friend. I like Luiz because he has the looks of your typical bulldog, and he also has their personality too. Before I drew Luiz, I didn't have a variety of reference pictures to choose from so I went by a small picture that I could barely see. I later found the official site and saw that there was poster sized images that I could have gotten some nice detailing from. Nonetheless he still came out looking super cool. So if you like drawing dogs, you will fall in love with this lesson on "how to draw Luiz".
