How to Draw Beasts
1
Let's get this show on the road. You will need to draw a series of circles and or shapes to make a workable frame for your beast. Start with an oval shape which will be for the torso of the creature. Next, inside of the oval, draw a circle shape for

All you will do here is sketch in the mouth line which is already shaped for the teeth that you will be adding in step three. Since this beast is without lips, the mouth has a skeletal look.
3
okay, start sketching out the shapes of the eyebrow design that you see here which looks a bit wispy and hard. Once that is done sketch out the general outline for the nose, and then sketch out the remainder of the mouth which includes the top and bo

Okay, remember that beast that was in Hellboy? You know, the one he fought inside of the museum. Well that is what this beast looks a little like, it's just more prettier than the one from the movie. Having said that you will start sketching out the

Okay, start sketching in the small lump like shapes on the shoulders, back, and beard. Once that is done you can start sketching in the definition and detail for the beast as well as sketching in more veins that are popping out of the skin.
6
Sketch out the rest of the arms and hands which look like tree stumps. When that is done you can draw the sharp pointed nails and then add more detail and definition. Draw vertical lines on the chest of the beast, and then move to the next step.
7
here is your last drawing step and all you need to do now is sketch in the hind legs and then draw in all the definition and detailing for the back legs. Once that is done you can start erasing all the visible guidelines that you drew in step one.

Description: Drawing monsters and other types of creatures is something that I enjoy doing on a daily basis. I will show you “how to draw beasts step by step”. The beast that I drew yesterday came out incredibly awesome and I think that you guys will all enjoy learning from this submission. The sketch took a while and going over the sketch to draw it out took even longer. What was really fun was coloring the beast in. I really wanted to get creative with the design and coloring of the character that I drew. I don’t think I have a lesson here on DragoArt that shows you "how to draw a beast". I mean I think I would remember something like that right? This drawing is definitely going under the advanced section for difficulty because it will take a lot of time and effect to draw this monstrous creature out if you want it to come out looking awesome like it does here. In total the drawing took me about five hours which was basically the whole time I was drawing live. I did have fun with you guys yesterday, and I just want to say thank your for all your comments on the beast. I read the comments that was recently left on the bike I submitted, and I will be responding back to those soon. The massive body and the sheer strength that is conveyed through art of this being, is so very clear to see. This is one of my favorite drawings, and I think I will add this sketch to my art portfolio. In the mean time knock yourselves out with this tutorial that will show you “how to draw beasts step by step”. I am using the plural word for beast because all you need is to learn how to draw one to make many. I will be back momentarily so stay tuned in to see what pops up next. Peace out folks and happy drawing!
