How to Draw a Jack O Lantern For Kids

Step 1.


Begin by drawing your outlined shape of the pumpkin's body that you want to design. You can go with the body style you see here, or you can choose to go with an oblong shape, stubby shape, or perfectly round shape, the choice is yours.

Step 2.


Here is where you will draw in the triangular shaped pumpkin eyes, the rounded nose, then the beginning lining for the jack o lantern style mouth.

Step 3.


Draw in the rest of the mouth like so, then add some depth detailing to the eyes.

Step 4.


lastly, draw in the stem, then add some nice definition lines on the stem like you see here. Erase your mistakes if you made any.

Step 5.


That's it, you have finished drawing a jack o lantern for kids. Now you can add a background or just simply color in this festive pumpkin.

So here is my version of a real simple way that anyone can draw an adorable Jack o Lantern that is not only fun to recreate, but even better to color in. You can use this style pumpkin in various Halloween background drawings, or you can make him the star of the show. If you want a female pumpkin, all you have to do is add a bow on the stem. Overall, it's perfect the way it is no matter how you decide to draw pumpkins for Halloween. I will return with one more lesson for you all.
