How to Draw a Heart and Nails

Step 1.

As you can see the first thing you will need to do is draw a heart. This can be any type of heart you like in any design or style.

Step 2.

Begin defining the shape of your heart by drawing the arches. Once that is done you can start drawing the nails or nail heads and shafts.

Step 3.

In this step draw the other side of the heart, then draw the end to the one nail. As you can see the end of the nail is bent to show more abuse.

Step 4.

From now on all you will do is work on the exterior work. For example, as you can see you will be drawing out the rest of the nails. This includes the heads, and points. Sketch in detailing to the nail heads like so, then proceed to step five.

Step 5.

Lastly, erase your mistakes then draw in the mended line in the center of the heart. Add the stitches and then you are all done.

Step 6.

Here is the line art once you are all done. Now you can color in your work.

Description: In the past I did a similar lesson to the one you see here. Instead of pins and needles, I decided to make a new tutorial on "how to draw a heart and nails", step by step. The heart has been hammered by a series of nails to show how sometimes even we can feel as though our hearts have taken a beating. The nails piercing through the heart are big and clunky which makes drawing this heart concept an easy to follow lesson. Whenever I make lessons like the one you see here I always like to attach some sort of meaning to them in my description. In this case the meaning is how even though your heart takes a pounding, you can still mend a broken heart by putting it back together even if the pain is still there. Have fun drawing a heart and nails, and please feel free to tweak the concept any way you like. I shall return in just a bit folks so stick around if you can.
