Guardian Angel Tattoo Drawing Tutorial

Step 1.


Let us begin draw making some guides for the angel framework. Start with a head guide and then draw the torso shape and pelvic shape. Sketch in the limb guidelines and you are done for now.

Step 2.


Define the shape of the angel's head which should be drawn in a manner like you are viewing it from the top or front as it is tilted down.

Step 3.


We will ow draw the spread out arms and hands, then draw in the torso which should include the chest definition and stomach muscles.

Step 4.


We will now draw the angels loin cloth or shroud. Then add the detailing to the cloth.

Step 5.


We will now draw the full length and formation of the angel's legs, then add detailing to the calves and knees.

Step 6.


Lastly, first erase the guidelines and then start drawing the angels wings in a manner that feather upward along the arms and in a regular feather pattern thereafter.

Step 7.


Here is the line art when finished. You can color in this guardian angel or you can bring the line art to your tattooist.

Description: There is a tattoo that I have been seeing everywhere and it's usually a back tattoo that takes the form of an angel. Because I see this concept everywhere, I will go ahead and show you folks, how to draw a guardian angel tattoo, step by step. I have drawn plenty of angels in the past and even guardian angles, but none of them were in a classic looking design with the head down looking over the individual it is guarding. I do think that this would make a beautiful tattoo on someones back and I hope this is a design that everyone likes.
