Drawing Elliot the Dragon from Petes Dragon
1
Like always we will begin with the head guide shape and then the guide for the body. Sketch in the guidelines for the neck, face and wing.
2
Up next, we will begin to draw the snout of the dragon. This is a very cartoony looking snout and it is only the top portion. Add the nostrils and then some of the wrinkle too.
3
Draw the top part of the head followed by the thick hair. Once that is done you can draw the ears in a lowered pose. Add the nostril holes and then draw in the eyes. Elliot has a very friendly face.
4
Let's continue with drawing Elliot the dragon. Here you will draw in the large bowl shaped jaw. Once that is done draw in the long neck, then draw the shoulder, front leg and then chest and back.
6
You will finish the wings and then draw in the front part of the scaling which is the belly. Add spots to the body and then you are done and ready to erase the mistakes and guides.

Description: Well, I don't know how many people have been paying attention to mainstream media, but there is a new movie Disney is coming out with this year and it is expected to be a big hit. It's actually a remake of an old 1977 Disney film called 'Pete's Dragon'. Today, I will be showing you all how to draw Elliot the Dragon, step by step the way he is seen in the 1977 film or adaptation of him. What better way to celebrate and old Disney classic then to make a drawing on the original dragon. Pete's Dragon is about a little boy who was raised in the woods for seven years. When he is found he insists that he wasn't alone at all. In fact, Pete says that he lived or lives in the forest with his dragon Elliot. I have never personally seen the old film, but I do remember my mother telling me about the story a long time ago. So have fun drawing Elliot from Pete's Dragon and I will be back with more drawing fun.
