How to Draw Wednesday Addams

Step 1.


Begin with a head guide and neck line. You will then sketch in the facial guidelines as well.

Step 2.


We will begin drawing the shape of Wednesday's face structure starting with the rounded forehead. Her cheek bones should be pretty prominent as well. Draw in her parted hair and then her earlobe.

Step 3.


Now you can draw in the eyebrows which are king of long but definitely thick.

Step 4.


Now, just under the eyebrows begin drawing out the shapes of Wednesday's eyes. As you can see they are father catty and very pretty. Christina Ricci already has nice eyes so all you are doing here is accentuating them. Add the bold wings to the ends    

Step 5.


Draw in the rest of the eyes, then sketch out the shape of her nose, mouth and detail inside her ear. Her expression should tell a thousand stories.

Step 6.


All you have to do here is finish drawing her hairstyle which is also the shape of her head. Wednesday has a big head, so be sure the hair is clinging to her head but also has a little puff to it. Draw in the two braids, then proceed to step seven.

Step 7.


For your last drawing step just draw in her long neck, then draw the shoulders and front part of her chest. You will need to add the dress collar lining as well, and the collar bone definition. Erase the mistakes and you are done.

Step 8.


Here is Wednesday Addams when completed. Now all you have to do is color her in to your liking. Be sure to use the dark shades because she is a dark gal.

Description: Here is a face that is becoming oddly popular on the net. It's Christina Ricci's version of Wednesday Friday Addams as she played her character in the movie 'Addams Family'. I thought I would make a lesson based on her character which is dark, dead, and not full of life at all. Here is "how to draw Wednesday Addams", step by step. I do love how she came out. Her pale skin, dark circles under her eyes, red lips and black braided hair all scream The Addams Family. She won't be too difficult to recreate so have a go at this tut and try to stick around to see what else I have in store for all of you. Peace people.
