How to Draw Thing from Addams Family

Begin by drawing the guidelines and shape to form a guide which will help you draw Thing.

Start at the top of the line and begin drawing some of the arm as well as the wrist. You will then draw a little ways down to form parts of the top portion of Thing's body or hand.

Next, we will draw some of Thing's digits. Start with the thumb and as you can see the fingers are gangly looking. This is to showcase the creepiness of all the characters from The Addams Family. Once the thumb and thumb nail is drawn, you can begin

Up next and lastly, go ahead and draw the index finger and the middle finger. When the fingers are drawn in, you can sketch in the nail beds and some of the wrinkles on the fingers. Erase the mistakes and the guides to clean up the drawing.

This is what Thing looks like when you are finished. Now you can have a blast coloring him in.

Description: For those of you who watched or are familiar with The Addams Family, one of the most recognized characters from the movie/series was Thing. No, its not the character that is covered in hair, that is actually Cousin It. Thing is the hand that creeps around the house that often lives and comes out of a small wooden box. It makes hand gestures to communicate with people and you can more often than not tell what Thing is trying to say, when he is trying to say it. His full name is Thing T. Thing, but most of us just call him Thing. Anyways, an interesting story about Thing that some of you may not know, when the character was first created, Thing was part of a whole body or man that was so ugly or disfigured, only his hand would come out and about. That was soon changed to just a hand, but Thing actually had a forearm as well in the earlier series during the 60s. Welp, that's about all I have to say about Thing.
