How To Draw Jamie Foxx, Django, Jamie Foxx

1

To draw Jamie Foxx as Django, we need to first sketch out some basic guide lines. Use a 2H or harder pencil so that the lines are easy to erase later on. Sketch a simple stick figure shape such as this one. The right hand will be nearest us, since he

Next, it's a good idea to draw the basic human figure. Doing this will help ensure that the figure is proportionate when we add clothing later on. Jamie Foxx had a rather muscular build when he played the role of Django, so keep that in mind. You do

We can now work on the face. Be sure that the facial feature properly align with your facial construction lines. Keep in mind that the eyes are roughly one eye width apart from each other. Draw his eyebrows furrowed a bit so as to add intensity to hi

4

Draw the contours of his face next. Jamie Foxx has high cheekbones. Be sure to draw his ears as well. the tops of the ears should align with the eyebrows, the bottoms of the ears should fall just below the level of the nose.

5

Django has a scruffy goatee and short sideburns. Do not worry about the hair on top of his head since he will be wearing a hat. For the facial hair, draw short whiskers along his outer jaw line. The whiskers of the goatee should be longer. Also draw

Django isn't a cowboy until you give him his cowboy hat. To draw the hat, it's best to first draw the top of the hat first, which is cylindrical shaped and is as wide as his head. Then draw the brim of the hat circling around his head. The sides of t

Draw his neck. The back of his neck should start beneath his right earlobe. The front of his neck should star to the left side of his chin. Notice how the contours of the neck are not straight up and down, but they are instead slightly diagonal. Be s

Part of Django's signature look is his thick green coat. Draw the collar of the coat pointing upwards to make it look more interesting, as if it was messed up in a fight. Each side of the collar is made of a small triangular shape near the top, with

Be sure to draw his shirt underneath the coat. It should be buttoned up to his neck and the collar should be flattened and tucked beneath the coat. Be sure to add some wrinkles.

10

Draw the left arm bent at a 90 degree angle. Draw a large fold at the end of the coat's sleeve. There should be numerous winkles wrapping around the arm of the coat, especially near the inner elbow.

11

Now draw his left hand. Since he will be grasping a pistol, it might be a good idea to draw the basic shape of the gun's curved handle, as seen here in green. Draw the his fingers wrapped around the handle, with his index finger higher than the rest

Drawing western pistols can be a lot of fun! Draw wood grain in the handle. Be sure to draw the cylindrical-shaped chamber in the body of the gun, as well as the hammer above the handle. Draw the long barrel sticking straight out of the body of the g

Let's now work on the right arm. The right arm should be closest to us, making it appear larger due to foreshortening. The forearm should be covering the upper arm and shoulder from this angle. Draw several wrinkles wrapping around the arm of the coa

His right hand should look like a fist with the index finger sticking out towards use so that we can see the fingernal. Be sure to draw the thumb on top of the fingers as it is wrapped around the handle of the gun we (which we'll draw next).

The second gun should be pointing upwards slightly as if a shot was just fired, causing it to kick back. From this angle, we should be able to see the heads of bullets in the round chamber and we can see the darkness inside the barrel. Again, use a r

Draw thin strands of smoke flowing from the barrels of the gun.

We are now done penciling the image and we can now ink it. Use Micron markers or a brush and India ink. Carefully go over each line with patience and be sure not to accidentally ink any unneeded guide lines. Use your ruler to help with the guns. When

You can add more depth to the image by giving it shadow. Establish your light source and use black ink or a fat tipped black marker to shade the opposite side of the figure. Be sure to add heavy shadow to his upper face caused by the hat.

19

If you need to make any corrections, use white ink or opaque white paint. You can also use it to add highlights if needed. Be sure to add small white dots (shine) to the pupils of each eye. This will really help bring the image to life. And that's ho
