How to Draw DNA

Artist: Dawn / September 23, 2015

Step 1.

You will start off with a ribbon of lines.

Step 2.

You will now draw a ribbon in a thick structure and then move to step three.

Step 3.

You will now draw the other ribbon strand and when you do this, leave some small gaps for the lines.

Step 4.

You will now draw in the 'base pairs' which looks more like ladder steps. When you're done you can erase any mistakes you made.

Step 5.

That's it, you are all done. Now you can color in the DNA.

Description: Before I get to the good stuff, I wanted to quickly upload this tut on something that kids in school could use for their science products. Here is a simple, but fun lesson on how to draw DNA, step by step. I'm sure all of you know that DNA is your genetic makeup and it is what makes you, you. Now, your DNA consists of four chemical bases and they are; Adenine (A), Guanine (G), Cytosine (C), and Thymine (T). If you are studying DNA in Science class I'm sure you will learn more information as your teacher will be going over what DNA is all about.
