How to Draw a Body Profile

Step 1.


Begin with the basic guides which will help you through your lesson.

Step 2.


Up next, we will begin drawing in the profile for the girl's face. Start at the forehead and draw the nose, lips, chin and some of the jaw. When that is done draw in the eyebrow, eye and tear. Don't forget some of the hairline.

Step 3.


Move on to the torso of the body, but before you do that you need to make the neck shape. Once that is drawn in you can draw the curve of her chest, then draw in the shoulder and arm. Also draw the hand as it lays relaxed down the side of her body.    

Step 4.


Let's finish the head. To do this draw the ear, hairstyle and then draw in the detailing to her hair. I chose to go with a long straight style.

Step 5.


We will now draw the more of the body profile by drawing the side of her leg. Also draw in the back end of her body which would be her butt, but it's covered by her shirt. Add some detailing to the jeans and you are done here.

Step 6.


Lastly, draw in her sneakers or shoes and then I gave her a hobo style bag to finish things off. You can draw anything else you would like with her, it's your girl after all. Erase the mistakes and all the guides.

Step 7.

Description: Now let's get down to some good old fashion lessons that doesn't involve the 4th of July. Today we will be learning how to draw a body profile in the form of a girl standing in a restaurant. This girl is very simple, but I also wanted to make her interesting to draw which is why I dressed her up to look like a regular person instead of making a body profile with little clothes on. As you can see the side view of a person's body is very straight forward. I think this will be a helpful lessons for those of you who have been struggling with drawing bodies from the side.
