You will be drawing two bats in this lesson. One is upside down, and the other is in flying mode. Start with an egg shape for the upside down bat, and then draw the outlined shape of the body like so. Next, draw a smaller egg shape for the head of th

For both bats, you will start sketching out the shape of the heads, and then the large German Shepherd like ears. Once this is done you can proceed onto drawing in the eye lines, and the nostril holes on both bats. For the bat to the left, draw the f

Add the detailing inside of the bats ears, and then draw the wings as they are wrapped around the whole body like so. When that is done you can finish the eyes, and then sketch in the pig like noses. For the bat to the right you will finish sketching

Description: Okay, I’m all done submitting tutorials on horses, it’s now time to turn my attention to something cooler, and more geared toward Halloween. If there is one animal that I don’t have any cool lessons on it would have to be the bat. I have looked at all my bat drawings and there is nothing there that screams to me, or even gets me in the mood to draw a bat. So today, I thought it would be cool to upload a tutorial on "how to draw bats", step by step. The bat is no doubt one of the coolest looking animals in existence. I have always liked these rodents, and I always will. To me, they have such mystery because they are animals of lore, and because they are associated with monsters we all know as vampires. It’s odd how certain species of bats got their names, like brown bats, fruit bats, and of course vampire bats. I have to say that this is one animal that I had a lot of fun drawing because I used my imagination to almost the fullest. Another reason why I chose to do another drawing on that bat, is because the very first tutorial I ever uploaded was of a bat that is in an upside down position, but I didn’t draw the wings closed. The only time a bat will be upside down and have the wings spread open, is when that are waken from their sleep, or when they are suddenly startled. I guess that pretty much does it for this tutorial description. I know for a fact that you guys will have fun following this lesson on "how to draw bats". I still have a few more submissions on the way so don’t think that my drawing day is over. Be sure to join me live tonight as I will be doing a full session. Peace people, and have fun!
