How to Draw an Anime Bat

Step 1.


Draw a medium sized shape for the front view body shape of your anime bat. Next fill that circle with a smaller shape like you see here. Lastly draw the wing arms like you see here.

Step 2.


Now it's time to sketch out the shape of the mouth area like you see here. Once that is done you can start drawing the lining for the ears, and eyes.

Step 3.


In this third step, you will begin sketching out the edges of the anime bat's ears like so. Add some jagged lining too to make the bat look even more like an anime animal. Next sketch out the cheeks, and chin like so, and then draw out the eyes more.

Step 4.


Wow, look how much of this bat will be drawn out when you are done with this step. The first thing you need to do is sketch in the detailing inside of the ears, and then begin sketching out the hairy body like so. Then draw the leg lines.

Step 5.


Sketch out the bats wings, and when you do this, you have to sketch out the fingers which is woven together by the bat's wing based tissue. When this is done, you can sketch in the detailing to the nose and the mouth by adding the teeth.

Step 6.


This is your last drawing step, and all you have to do is sketch out the legs and the rest of the body and feet. Erase all the lines and shapes that you drew in step one to clean up your drawing.

Step 7.


This is how your anime bat looks when you are all done. Color it in, and you're done. I hope you had fun drawing this anime animal, I know I had fun with you all.

Description: Anime animals has been something of an interesting concept to draw because there is so many different creatures you can have fun drawing in anime style. Today, I chose to do a lesson on “how to draw an anime bat", step by step. Bats are amongst my favorite animals in the world. I know there are so many people that think that bats are gross, creepy, and straight out ugly. I do however share some of those views. I too think bats are creepy, but in a good way. The drawing in general is going to be moderately complex for novice artist, and somewhat easy for intermediate artist. I like how the finished drawing came out because it looks so much like your typical anime style animal. As you know bats come in all different sizes, and shapes. Speaking of which, did you know that there is actually a bat in existence that is smaller than two inches? It's true, the bat in question is from the Philippines, and it is called a Philippine bamboo bat. It weighs about one twentieth of an ounce, and measures in at one and a half inches in length. Pretty cool huh? Anyway, this lesson will show you how easy it can be to learn "how to draw a anime bat", step by step. All the instructions are easy to read, and the steps are drawn out to be simple to follow. I still have three more tutorials to submit, so stay alive and keep on drawing.
