How to Draw a Simple Dragon Head

Draw a circle for the head and then add the facial guideline.

Next, sketch out the shape of the dragon's snout and make sure to make peaks or points inside the mouth.

You will draw the outer side of the mouth on the bottom jaw, then sketch in the teeth and tongue detailing.

Fill the upper jaw with the teeth that are cone shaped and pointed.

Sketch in the nostril and color in the hole. You will then draw the brows, then draw the eyeball. Add the frown line on the corner of the dragon's mouth as well.

Almost done people. Sketch in the rest of the shape for the dragon's head, then draw in the rounded frills that makes up the back part of the head shape and structure.

Here is where you will finish things off by drawing out the long neck shape, then draw in the spines that flow up and down the back part of the neck. Erase the mistakes and guides before you go.

Here is your dragon now that you are all done. Choose a shade to color in your dragon and you can even add the scales if you like as well.

Description: This is just a simple dragon head that I whipped up. It's actually supposed to be the easy version of the dragon from the castle and dragon tut I recently submitted. Up next we will learn "how to draw a simple dragon head", step by step and yes it is simple. There is a total of seven drawing steps and with each step there is an easy to follow description. When you are finished with your dragon head you can choose to add some addition tweaks to make the dragon customized to your liking. If you would like to keep it as is, that is fine too. As long as you have fun drawing a simple dragon head that is all I care about.
