How to Draw a Merpony, Mermaid Pony

Begin with two shapes; one for the head and another for the body. When that is done you can draw the guide shape for the tail. Sketch in the facial guidelines as well.

Using the head guide draw the head and face in detail. You will need to also draw in the snout and ear.

We will draw in the pretty mermaid style mane like so and then add some detailing to the hair.

We will now just draw in the arches of the eye shapes which also includes the lashes.

Finish the eyes and add the nose and smile.

When the mane and face is all drawn in, you can draw the merpony's body completely except for the fin or tail. Draw the front legs as well, then proceed to step six.

We will now finish the merpony by drawing the fin or tail. This makes or breaks a mermaid so be sure to create a beautiful tail. Once the tail is drawn you can erase your mistakes and all the guides.

Here is the line art for your merpony drawing. Now all you have to do is choose a shade to color in the drawing.

Description: So here is a pretty cool concept that I conjured up. I wanted to draw something fun, exciting and really colorful. While in my thoughts I made this concept on a merpony. So here it is, how to draw a merpony, step by step. As you guessed it, a merpony is a mermaid and pony mixed. Imagine if there where actual merpones? That would ridiculously cool just because they are so awesome looking. I love the mane and tail and I also love how the back end of the body forms into a fin so flawlessly. Anyways, I hope you guys have fun with drawing a Merpony. You can choose any shade for your concept as you wish. I shall return so still stick around.
