How to Draw Pig Pen

Make two guide shapes; one for the head and another for the body. Sketch in the facial guidelines too.

Up next, define the shape of Pig Pen's head like so, and draw in his ears too.

Pig Pen has stringy hair like a lot of the Peanuts characters. Add some messy styled hair strands and then use the facial guidelines to color in eyes, draw a nose and then a friendly smile.

Scribble some dirt on Pig Pen's face like so. It should be on his forehead and cheeks.

Draw in the neck and body shape along with the arms and hands.

Next, add the shirt sleeve line cuffs and then draw the collar line.

We will now draw in more dirt on the clothing followed by some speckles.

To finish Pig Pen's body all you have to do is draw in the legs and feet.

Add dirt on his shoes and socks or legs like so.

Lastly, erase your mistakes and all your guides then draw in the infamous dirt cloud that surrounds Pig Pen.

Here is the line art. Now you can color in your drawing and show folks that you can draw Pig Pen.

Description: I don't know how many of you are into Charlie Brown, but I watched the trailer for the upcoming movie and it looks awesome. It brings back so many childhood memories that when I was watching the trailer, a smile was automatically put on my face. I will continue on with uploading some more characters starting with this one on how to draw Pig Pen, step by step. Yes, this is the boy who always has a dirt cloud following him where ever he goes. I love Pig Pen, he is one of the more popular characters from the comic strip and I am happy that he is finally made into a lesson. The dirt on his face, the debris that follows is all lovable attributes to his character. Again, if you haven't seen the trailer please watch the Peanuts Movie trailer on the official movie site.
