How to Draw a Mermaid Queen

Step 1.

We will start off by making the body guidelines and shapes to create a workable from for the mermaid queen.

Step 2.

Once the guides are all drawn out, you can use the head guide to begin sketching out the shape of the face along with the elven like shaped ear. You will also add the dark brows and the bridge of the nose.

Step 3.

Finish the face with sultry eyes, an inviting smile and her nose. Notice I added a mole on her face.

Step 4.

Simply add detailing inside the ear.

Step 5.

Here you will draw out the hair first and as you know mermaids have beautiful locks of hair. This queen has long, lustrous hair that falls perfectly. Once the head and hair is done you will draw out the arm which is raised above her head. I sort of m

Step 6.

COntinue to draw out more of that long, thick hair and then draw out the other arm and hand. Once that is done add definition to the top part of the tail around the waist and draw in the medallion in the center.

Step 7.

We will complete the mermaid's body by drawing out the rest of her tail and then a very long, beautiful flowing fin. Add detailing to the fin as well.

Step 8.

And again, more long thick locks needs to be added here.

Step 9.

Finally, draw the moon in the background. You can draw whatever kind of background you'd like, I chose the moon. Erase the mistakes and guides.

Step 10.

That's it, you are all done. Once you have colored in the mermaid queen , upload your art so other and I can check out your work.
