How to Draw a Light Dragon, White Dragon
Artist:
Dawn
/ September 29, 2011
Step 1.
Make a simple circle for the head and then draw out the long, curled line for the body. This is also going to be the pose that the light dragon is going to be in.

Step 2.
Now begin sketching out the actual head shape of the dragon which is oblong in size. The horns and ears should also be drawn in too. I'm sort of basing this dragon on the Chinese version, which is why there is the mustache.

Step 3.
Okay, here is where the challenging fun starts. You have to draw in the eyes, nose, and mouth and then draw in the inner ear detailing. Next, draw out the long serpent shape of the neck like so, and then you can add the simple whiskers.

Now you can draw out more of the light dragon's body, and then draw out some of the chest, and the first arm. Make the claws and then draw in the soft flowing mane that is trailing down the back of the head and body.

Step 5.
Draw more of the slithering body and then when you get to the end of the body, start turning the tail inward. Make some marking lines for the belly.

Draw out the other arm and talon, and then draw in the skin padding on top of the hand or arm.

Step 7.
Now you are finally ready to finish this tutorial by drawing out the tail and tuft at the end. Erase the mistakes, as well as the guides that you made in step one, and then you are all done and ready to go.

Here is the finished line art when you are done with your light dragon drawing. I hope this is what you expected, and be sure to let me know what you think by rating commenting, and faving.

Description:
Here is another dragon to add to the drawing books guys, and I’m sorry to say but I don’t think I’m going to do anymore for a couple weeks. Here is the dragon that a lot of you requested; it’s on "how to draw a light dragon", step by step. I usually have a story to write behind the image, but I am so descriptioned out when it comes to dragons because I have drawn so many. I will let you guys use your imagination for once, that way there when you are done with the sketch, you can conjure up your own tale of where light dragons come from, and how they exist. This was a fun dragon to draw, but I have to tell you, I started to have an aversion to making dragons so please forgive me if I don’t fill any dragon requests for a while. Well, I guess that’s about it folks. Have fun making your own light dragon and make sure to upload your finished work. Adios people and I hope you enjoy your drawing day!
