How to Draw a Duck for Beginners

Step 1.

Make a circle for the head guide and an odd shape for the body guide. Connect the two with a neck and facial guideline.

Step 2.

You will draw out the duck's bill or beak and then add a simple smile and nasal hole. Once that is done form the forehead and draw out a large eyeball and pupil. Don't forget to add the feathery tuft of hair at the top of the head.

Step 3.

Finish the shape of the head and draw out some of the neck and part of the chest.

Step 4.

Next up, we will draw the wings and some more of the body. Don't forget to layer those feathers.

Step 5.

Lastly, finsih off the body and give this duck some webbed feet. You will color in the pupil and add feather detailing too.

Step 6.

Once the drawing is cleaned up and freed from mistake lines and guides the finished product should look like the one you see here. COlor in the duck and you're done.
