How to Draw a Crow for Beginners

Artist: Dawn / August 14, 2020

Step 1.

Make two shapes, one for the head and another for the body. Sketch in the guidelines for the face, neck and legs.

Step 2.

Using the head shape you just drew, go ahead and draw out the head and beak for the crow. Very simple lining. Section off the beak with a feather line as you see here and be sure to draw in parts of the neck.

Step 3.

Use the facial guidelines to draw out the eye which is a big circle. Then add detailing around the outer part of the eye.

Step 4.

Draw in the chest and beginnings of the feathers.

Step 5.

Now you can draw out the wing and more of the body. Notice the simple approach here. Simple enough for anyone to tackle while looking like a real crow.

Step 6.

FInish off this bird by drawing the rest of the body and then the talons. Erase the mistakes if you made any.

Step 7.

All done. Now just color in this crow and show off your work by uploading your art.
