1

We will begin with a simple cross design that has starred edges.

2

Up next, draw in the detailing on the inside of the cross. This will make the cross look embossed.

3

Now, begin drawing the wings. Start with the wing arm and then from there draw in the layered feathers.

4

Up next, draw the small spiked feathers that will create a full effect.

5

Let us finish the winged cross by drawing the rest of the wings. This is where the length of the wings should be developed. Erase your mistakes and you are all done.

6

Once your drawing is done you should end up with a piece like the drawing you see here. Color it in or even take the finished product to your favorite tattoo shop/tattooist.

Description: I have another cool lesson for you all that I think most of you will enjoy. I was looking around Dragoart's tuts and I didn't see any lessons on how to draw a cross with wings, step by step. I had a lot of fun with this drawing because of how I was able to let my imagination flow by drawing majestic looking wings to match the type of power the cross has from it's symbolism. The cross design is supposed to be of iron to represent the strength that stands behind the symbol. I know not all religions believe in the cross symbol, but for those of us that do, this is a drawing that I think speaks louder than words. I do hope those of you who choose to tackle this lesson, enjoy it and learn from it. I will be back with more drawing fun so stay tuned in. Adios amigos.
