How to Draw an Iron Cross Skull

The first step is pretty simple. Draw a plus sign like so.

Next, draw in the shape of the iron cross. As you can see the ends are rounded.

Add the embossed detailing inside the cross which will give the cross it's design.

We will now be drawing the skull so make the guides for the head, face and bones.

Start drawing the skull's head in a defined manner like so. Be sure to include the cheek bones, upper jaw and definition on the inside of the mouth.

Create the brows and eyes then sketch in the crinkles and wrinkles around the eyes, nose and draw the teeth for the mouth.

We will finish up the skull's face by drawing the bone detailing on the head and cheeks. Then add the nasal cavity for the nose.

Lastly, draw the four bones and add detailing to them all. Erase the mistakes and all the guides you made.

When all is said and done your drawing should look like the image you see here. Color in this Iron Cross skull then show family and friends your artwork.

Description: Here is a wicked cool lesson that I had a load of fun with. Today, I will be doing another concept piece on a skull and the iron cross. Here is how to draw an Iron Cross skull, step by step. I absolutely love the way this Iron cross came out. The skull is amazing too with the mean look which matches the history behind the iron cross. Replicating this concept piece shouldn't be too difficult. I will put it in 'intermediate' because of the detailing on the skull's face and how the cross is drawn with the skeletal bones. After this lesson there are six more tuts that needs to be uploaded. I do hope you find this tutorial as awesome as I did making it. Adios amigos and good luck.
