Draw the round shape for the head and then make the curled shape for the body. Sketch in the facial guidelines too.

Define the shape of the cricket's face and be sure to add those raised brow arches.

Under the brows draw the large, saucer shaped eyes. Color in the pupils and then add a small bump for the nose and a smirk for the mouth or smile.

Simply draw in the long wispy shaped antenna like so, then add some darkness to the tips.

Draw in the cartoon cricket's body and then draw the front and back legs.

Lastly, draw the stomach lines and then draw the rest of the back shape. Erase the mistakes and guides when done.

That's it. It's time to add color to the bug and a background for his environment.

Description: Yup, here is another adorable tutorial that I worked on yesterday. I am so excited to be uploading these new lessons because to me, they are as cute as can be. Here you will learn how to draw a cartoon cricket, step by step. Instead of doing the traditional thing, I went ahead and colored the cricket blue to throw excitement to the wind. This little cricket is going to be fun to recreate, simple to tackle and really fun to color. I will be back so don't go away.
