Wolf and Sheep Drawing Lesson

Step 1.

Begin by drawing five shapes. These round shapes will be for the heads of the wolf and sheep.

Step 2.

For the second step you will begin to draw the wolf's head. Start with the muzzle and then draw the jaw. Once that is complete you can draw in the hairy cheek and don't forget to draw the brow.

Step 3.

Up next, let's sketch in the crinkles, wrinkles and folds on the wolf's snout. When that is done you can draw in the actual nose and then draw the shape of his eye. Add the dimple line around the mouth corner. This is also the crease that is made whe

Step 4.

Instead of a head and ears, we will give this wolf a gangster style hat. Add that dip in the top middle of the hat and then don't forget to draw the band around the hat.

Step 5.

Finish the wolf's face by drawing in his sharp teeth. They are clutched together as they bite the end of a cigar. Draw the spiked fur for the neck shape as well.

Step 6.

All you have to do here is draw the shirt collar and shoulder. The creases for the jacket are layered.

Step 7.

We will now draw the hand and arm or some of the hand and arm. This should also include the jacket sleeve.

Step 8.

Up next, draw in the rest of the wolf's hand. Make sure it's in a grip because it is holding the leash that it has the sheep attached to.

Step 9.

Using the three circles for the sheep, begin drawing their heads and faces. As you can see two of the sheep are being strangled so their tongues are sticking out. Don't forget to add the eyes too.

Step 10.

Finish drawing the sheep by adding their ears. On their ears you will draw in the tags because they are all marked by the beast. Draw the collars around their necks and then draw the body which should be crinkled lining because of their wool coats.

Step 11.

Lastly, draw the leashes on all three sheep and then you can begin the clean up process by erasing the mistakes and guides.

Step 12.

When all is said and done your line art should end up looking like the drawing you see here. All you have to do now is create a background and then color in the drawing.

Description: I love creating concept art and with this piece I had an idea in mind, but I don't want to get into what I was thinking of when I drew this concept for a tutorial. Today we will be learning how to draw a wolf and lambs, step by step. The idea for this tutorial is something that means a lot to me. Of course everyone else will have their own idea on what the drawing means to them. Ones interpretation is always different when involving art. I can tell you it has to do with control, greed, thievery, and in the end slaughter. It may not be a lesson that all will tackle, but it is definitely something to have fun with if you want to work on your drawing skills. Anyways, enjoy the tut if you choose to try it out. I will be back with more lessons so don't go anywhere.
