How to Draw Uncle Sam Skull

Step 1.


You can start off with a circle for the skull, then sketch in the facial guidelines.

Step 2.


Using the head guide you just made, sketch in the rough lined bony cheeks. Begin to also sketch out the upper jaw and temples.

Step 3.


Here you will begin sketching out the large rough lined circles for the eyes. They should be big and the detailing around the eye lining should make the eyes look like deep sockets. Next, sketch out the nose hole followed by the bone structure detail   

Step 4.


Next, sketch out the upper jaw, along with the nicely lined teeth. Of course you will add detailing where needed.

Step 5.


Next, sketch out the bushy beard, and when you do this make sure that it is layered.

Step 6.


Draw in the top hat and when you do this it should look stiff. The rim is thick and double lined.

Step 7.


This is an easy step because all you have to do is draw the band and stars on the hat.

Step 8.


Guess what? You are almost done with this lesson. Draw in all the hair in a messy style, then add detailing to the brow and in between the eyes. Erase the mistakes and you are done.

Step 9.


The line art should look like the image you see here. Add some color and show off your work.

For many of you who don't know who Uncle Sam is, the best way I can describe him in a few words is; "he is the national personification of the United States government". Since there is much trouble everywhere, I wanted to make this lesson. Have fun with drawing Uncle Sam's skull folks.
