How to Draw a Skull Orb

We will begin by drawing one of the skull guides. Start with the head then sketch in the guide for the lower portion of the face which is the mouth area.

On top of the scalp, draw in a row of teeth for the other skull that will be morphed in with the one you are drawing now.

Now you can define the shape of the scalp or head, then move to step four.

Begin forming the face of the first skull by drawing the prominent bony cheeks, then draw in the upper mandible shape. Also add the grooves for each tooth. Add definition along the corners of the upper jaw like you see here.

Cap off the teeth to finish every tooth off like so. When that is done you can proceed to step six.

The first skull will be done once you draw in the shapes of the eyes, nasal cavity and the detailing on the surface of the bone. The look on this face is sinister, but you can go with any look you like. Be sure to color in the holes.

Starting from the row of teeth you drew on the scalp of the first skull, begin sketching out the second skull shape. This is in an odd position so be sure to take your time as you sketch out the cheeks and head shape of the skull.

Draw in the eyes and nasal cavity for the second skull like so, then add detailing to the back of the head which is a series of cracks.

To form the orb shape for your three skull heads you will need to draw in the top portion of the third skull upside down. The grooves for the teeth should also be added as well.

Add detailing to form the temple and skull structure, then you can move to the step before the last drawing step.

All you have to do here is cap off those grooves you drew to finish off the sharp teeth. When that is done you are done with step eleven.

Finally, draw in the eyes and nasal cavity, then color them in. Be sure to gives these cavities some shape instead of perfect lining. Erase the mistakes and guides you made in step one.

Your skull orb is all done. Now you can add some shading to the areas you see shaded in here, then add color if you like.

Description: Here is another skull tattoo design that was basically a random drawing. I will call this "how to draw a skull orb" and basically an orb is a circular shape so I drew three skulls that when put together forms a circle just like an orb. It was really fun making this concept because all my imagination was on fire. I have been finding that when I draw skulls, it's the painting that I love the most. I can create anything I want because creativity is key. I hope you have fun with this tut, there is more lessons coming your way.
