How to Draw Ruby Rose From RWBY

Make two guide shapes, one for the head and another for the body. You will then sketch in the facial guidelines as well as the neck and torso guides.

Utilize the shapes you just made and begin sketching out the face structure. Incorporate the outline of her ear, then draw the bangs for her hair which should be separated and pointed. Also add the eyebrows.

Continue to draw out the rest of Ruby's hairstyle like so, then move along to step four.

Here you will draw in the eyes which are very simple shapes. When that is done add the nose and mouth line.

Begin sketching out Ruby's cape which starts behind her neck up to the hair line. Draw the shoulders and neck shape, then proceed to step six.

Finish drawing Ruby's arms and then draw in her torso and waist. Add more lining to create the rest of her cape, then add the crease lines that define the cape.

All you have to do now is first erase your mistakes and guides, then you will draw in the seam line down the center of her torso, add criss cross laces and then more detailing. Also draw the upside down cross on the collar.

When all is said and done, you should end up with a drawing that looks like the one you see here. It is now time to add color to your RWBY character.

That is a quote from one of the main characters from the anime RWBY. Today I will show you "how to draw Ruby Rose", step by step. She is a very sweet looking girl that wears a blood red cape. Her hair is also almost the same color as her attire and she has a very sweet innocent face. What some people may not know is that Ruby is the first main character that was introduced with the first airing of RWBY. The weapon that Ruby uses is a High Caliber Sniper Scythe or the Crescent Rose. I had fun recreating Ruby because she has this softness about her appearance that really is a pleasure to draw.
