How to Draw Nate River, Near

We will start the first step by drawing the shape of the head guide first, then sketch in the facial guidelines and arm guidelines.

Define the shape of Near's face and then draw in the bangs which are in a messed up style.

Draw in the full shape of Near's head which is also his hairstyle. Add some layers of hair as well.

Draw in the eyes using the facial guidelines and then draw in Near's nose and mouth.

We will now work on the body by drawing the shoulders, arm and then his bent up legs. Add the wrinkles to the clothes to add texture and definition as well.

Draw the left hand which is touching his brow like he is thinking. Draw the right hand and you are all done.

Lastly, draw the left arm and sleeve, then add some detailing to the sleeve as well. Erase your mistakes and guides.

Here is the line art for Near, now just color him in and you're done.

Description: Just to let you folks know, this is probably the last Death Note character I will be uploading for a while. Since I have not gotten any new requests for anymore characters, I'm not going to proceed on with making more. So having said that, I will end the theme by showing ya'll how to draw Near, step by step. He is a character that likes to live in solitude. Near has almost white colored hair and is often seen sitting in the same body pose as L. If it wasn't for the difference in appearance, I would think that the two are the same characters. Anyways, have fun with drawing Near. I will be back with more so stick around.
