Drawing Light Yagami Step by Step

Begin by drawing the guides for Light which consists of the head and torso guidelines. Sketch in the facial guidelines as well.

Define the shape of Light's face like so, then sketch in the long bangs as they swish across the forehead.

Next, draw the shape of Light's head and then draw the hair behind his neck.

Draw the eyes and then draw the eyebrows. Add the nose and the mouth.

Use the body guidelines to draw in the torso. This starts with the shirt collar, shoulders, and arms. You will then draw the wrinkling to the shirt and then proceed to step six.

Draw the flap for the shirt collar and then draw in a pocket. You will also draw in the buttons and side of the right part of the body.

Lastly, draw Light's arm and hand. Then you can draw the apple that is floating above the hand as he is tossing it.

Once your mistakes and guides are all erased or cleaned up, the drawing should look like the line art you see here. The only thing that's left to do now is coloring it in.

Description: Okay folks, are you ready to tackle a lesson on a new and improved version of Light Yagami from Death Note? Good, because I have this tut that will teach you how to draw Light Yagami, step by step. Instead of him wearing his white button up shirt, I wanted to draw him with his black shirt tossing an apple. He is the main character in the manga and is either loved or hated and even sometimes both. I do have a lesson on Light Yagami that I did years ago, so I definitely think it's time to do a new one.
