How to Draw Monstrous Nightmare
1
This should be a very simple lesson to learn from since we will only be drawing this dragon characters head. Start with an oblong shape for the snout of the dragon, and then draw a hoop for the eye guide.
2
Begin sketching out the actual shape of the snout which is also the mouth. Once that is done you can draw in two eyeball shapes like so.
3
Next, draw the upper part of Nightmare's snout which is also home to his nose. The lining should be swift, and when the shape is drawn, you have to also add the large looped nostrils. Draw in the small horn like tip between the nostrils like so, and

It's time to get the inside of this aggressive beast's mouth. Start by drawing the lining that will form an edge to the inside of the mouth or in other words the gum line. Once that is done, fill the mouth with sharp shredding teeth one by one. Take

Here all you have to do is draw in three tube shaped horns that are rigged and full of bony layers. The tips of the horns should be pointed but also turned in different directions. Once the horns are all set, draw in the lids for the eyes, and color

Description: How to Train Your Dragon is sure to be a blockbuster hit with all the kids, adults, and teens. The movie takes place back when Vikings where considered dragon slayers. So far, I submitted three of the main characters from the movie, Hiccup, Astrid, and of course Night Fury. For my second tutorial submission I will be giving you a lesson on the scariest dragon out of them all. I will show you "how to draw Monstrous Nightmareā€¯, step by step. He is a humongous dragon that takes no prisoners. If it wasn't for his animated appearance, he would probably look more like the typical dragon then any other dragon in the movie. Monstrous Nightmare has a long neck and tail, and he is covered from head to toe with red scales and long sharp spines. If you're thinking to yourself that this creature has an awfully big mouth, you're right. The reason for the gigantic sized mouth is so that Nightmare can eat and swallow Vikings whole, as well as other prey. He also omits a very dense, sticky fire that clings to walls, and anything else he decides he wants to destroy. It's obvious that he is the main villain in the movie, and because of that, the creators made him incredibly violent. Learning "how to draw Monstrous Nightmare" is going to be a special treat. How to Train Your Dragon will have you look at dragons in a whole new way. Have fun drawing this vicious creature, I'm sure you will have a blast. Peace out people, and have a happy drawing day!
