How to Draw Hiccup

Start with an egg shape for Hiccup's head shape and then add the facial guidelines as well as the neck line that is attached to the squared off torso. You will then draw the shapes of his limbs which includes the arms, and legs.

Description: How to Train Your Dragon is going to be a big pop culture hit because it is a story that has a lot to do with training dragons. I already submitted a tutorial on one of the main characters from the movie which also happens to be the main dragon in the flick named Night Fury. In this lesson I will be showing you "how to draw Hiccup", step by step. This kid is the main protagonist of the storyline, and trainer of Night Fury. He is a teenaged boy that doesn’t really fit in anywhere especially not in the tribe he is from. Unfortunately I am going to have to come back to this tutorial description to talk about Hiccup’s role and personality a week after the release of the movie. I say this because there is no good information that I know about Hiccup because I have not yet seen the flick and I won’t be going to the movies to see this film until March 2010 sometime. I can tell you that the movie is based on the book written by Cressida Cowell, and that it’s an action comedy adventure. I do however believe that it will be a hit because Shrek and Madagascar was, and the same people that brought those two family oriented movies to the big screen, is bringing you this very movie that we are talking about now. What I can do for you though, is provide you with an awesome tutorial that will teach you "how to draw Hiccup", step by step. Who knows, maybe you will find that Hiccup is just like you and me. Have fun, and remember to keep your head up, and your spirits high, drawing is a gift that enables us to release our creative energy in a positive way!
