How to Draw Johnny Cash Easy

We will simply draw out the head guide, then draw the one facial guideline.

On a slight angle, begin sketching out Johnny Cash's face structure starting with the forehead. Add the shape of his nose, then draw the brow.

Draw the top of his lip, then add the frown line that starts at the bottom of the nostril.

Next, draw the cigarette and be sure to add the rising smoke.

Sketch out the rest of Johnny's face structure like so, then incorporate the ear. Lightly sketch the hairline with some length on the sides and bang line.

Sketch in Johnny's eyebrows and color them in, then draw the slanted puffy looking eyes. Add the wrinkles under the eyes, and add detailing to the side of his nose.

Detail inside the ear, then you can hop down to step eight.

Sketch in Johnny's stretched out neck line, then finish drawing his combed back hairstyle. Add some layers at the top of the hair, then draw the shoulder.

Draw his other shoulder, then draw the shirt collar, jacket collar, and then his sleeve. Add detailing to the sleeve, then erase your mistakes and guides.

You are all done. Now you can color in Cash, or leave the drawing as a sketched image.

Johnny Cash to me was a free spirit that had a lot of emotional stress from the acceptance of by father for a very long time. He also suffered the loss of brother at an early age, and then his wife June Carter. His songs have an extreme amount of passion, and are written into well thought out mini stories.
