Make the outlined shape for James' face like so, then sketch in the facial guidelines.

Next, sketch out the structure of James Dean's face like so and when you do this be sure to include the ear outline. Also add the lining for his hairstyle too.

Finish drawing Dean's hairstyle which is a combed back slick style. Add the detailing to his hair as well.

Now we will start with drawing the intense stare. Draw the thick eyebrows and then sketch in the shapes of his eyes. Once that is done you can add shading around the brows and eyes, then sketch in the bags or wrinkles under the eyes.

Draw in the nose and mouth like so, then add detailing inside the ear.

Lastly, simply draw the shape of his neck, shoulder and collar from his jacket. Erase the guide shapes and guidelines that you made in step one.

You are finished with drawing James Dean easy. Now if you like you can add some color.
