How to Draw Dragon Princess Celestia

Step 1.

You will begin by drawing a small circle for the head, then you can draw the body followed by the limb guides and feet. Once that is done you can add a neck guide and the wing guide.

Step 2.

Use the facial guide shape to draw the snout of the princess. This also includes the mouth too.

Step 3.

You can now draw in her crown or tiara like so.

Step 4.

Next draw in her almond shaped eyes and even add some lashes.

Step 5.

Color in a pupil, and nostril, then add a curled piece of hair.

Step 6.

Draw in the jewel on her tiara in this step which is a diamond shape.

Step 7.

Now we can get started with the body. Draw the shape of her neck, then move to step eight.

Step 8.

Here all you have to do is draw the chest. Her chest is covered with a plate so later you will add detailing to the plate.

Step 9.

Like I said, here is where you will draw in the simple markings on the collar from the plate she wears on her torso.

Step 10.

Draw in the first straight lined leg followed by the three toed claws.

Step 11.

You will draw in the other front leg like so, then once again draw in the three toes and claws.

Step 12.

Continue to work on the body as well as the butt and back thigh.

Step 13.

Here you need to draw out the rest of Princess Celestia's back dragon style leg. Even though she has dragon limbs, they still have a horse quality.

Step 14.

Add the other leg and draw in the rest of the body.

Step 15.

You can now draw in the long thin tail which is also supposed to look like a horse tail.

Step 16.

I couldn't help but keep Princess Celestia's horse mane, so here you will draw in her long wavy locks like so.

Step 17.

Add the detailing on the bottom of her legs which are bracelets that she wears.

Step 18.

Get started with drawing the wings by adding the one arm bone.

Step 19.

Almost done guys. Finish everything up by drawing the rest of the wings. They should be nicely shaped and nicely arched.

Step 20.

Erase all the mistakes and guides then draw in her cutie mark as well as the stardust in her hair.

Step 21.

You are all done folks. Have fun coloring in dragon Pricess Celestia from My Little Pony.

She is one of my favorite dragon recreations because of her bold princess look and her colorful yet subtle markings. dragon Princess Celestia may be a little more complex to recreate then her other dragon folk but if you take your time and don't give up I'm sure you will be successful.
