How to Draw Chibi Coraline

Like with Emily Strange, you will draw two shapes for the head and body then facial guidelines.

Using the lines you just drew, go ahead and define the shape of Coraline's chibi face as well as the lining for her parted hair/bangs.

Complete the head shape with the rest of her hair. She has a cute short hair cut with a barette on one side.

Draw in the large circles for the eyes and then the eyebrows. You will then draw in the nose, mouth and freckles.

Color in the eyes or pupils to complete the eyes.

Start drawing the body beginning with the torso and then move your way to the arm. Add the detailing to the clothing as well. Oh, and finish the hairline too at the end of her hairdo.

Draw the strap across her chest for her bag, and then draw the small chibi hand resting on her hip. You will also draw in the skirt too.

Lastly, add the legs and feet in the form of sneakers and then finish drawing her bag. Erase the mistakes and the visible guidelines.

That's it, you are all done drawing chibi Coraline. Now you can color her in before showing off your work.

Coraline is one of my favorite movies and I know she is also a well loved character with lots of you who are viewing this lesson. When I first watched Coraline all my brothers and sisters sat on the floor as they watched along as well. The story was awesome and the characters where even better. I love the eerie feel the movie had and how odd and wonderfully strange the whole concept was. I had tons of fun drawing chibi Coraline and I think lots of you artists out there will have fun too.
