How to Draw Catwoman, Anne Hathaway

Step 1.


Start with a small circle for the head and then sketch out the facial guideline a swell as the body guide.

Step 2.


Using the shape you just made, begin sketching out the shape or structure of Catwoman's face. In the middle of the face draw the mask, then draw the ear too.

Step 3.


Incorporate the shapes of the eye holes within the mask like so, then sketch in some nice design lines around the eyes and bridge of the nose. Draw the nose, forehead, and inner ear detailing.

Step 4.


Now that the mask is drawn out, you can tackle the task of drawing her pretty eyes. This starts with a bold top eyelid line as well as her lashes. Sketch out her lips, then draw the elastic strap that holds the mask to her face. Sketch the hair line    

Step 5.


This is one of my favorite steps because the hair is added. Cap off the top of her head by sketching out her hair which is pulled or combed back. Draw in the cat ears, as well as add detailing inside of the ears. To get her hair drawn all you have to   

Step 6.


Draw the arm, shape of her back, then draw the cuff that is raised on her elbow. Draw the shape of her breast, then sketch in the detailing to her beautiful back arch.

Step 7.


Lastly all you have to do is add some crinkle around the back part of the arm where the pit folds. Next, sketch in the hair strand details, then you can start cleaning up the drawing when all is done.

Step 8.


Here is Catwoman when you are all done. Now you can color her in and be sure to shade in her hair a nice red. I do hope you enjoyed this lesson on drawing Catwoman portrayed by Anne Hathaway!

Here is the full colored finished image of Catwoman. I knew that a lot of you would want to see this red headed beauty in her semi-full figured form.

Description: It's ironic that a member submitted an awesome tutorial on an anime style cat girl because before that lesson was uploaded, I was working on a drawing based on a character from the new Batman movie that will be coming to theaters sometime in 2012. She is going to be played by Anne Hathaway, and her character role is Selina Kyle. Up next we will tackle the task of learning "how to draw Catwoman", step by step. I already did a tutorial based on Catwoman a while ago and in that lesson I talked about her background and how she came to be. Catwoman's suit in the film will be very different from what Halle Berry wore when she played the feline comic book star. Instead of a fancy suit, the creators took Selina's body suit back to the basics. She will have a simple mask as well as a simple leather bodysuit. Anyways, I really like the way she came out and I think you will all have a really fun time drawing Catwoman too. I have to get out of here but I will return in a few. Adios people and enjoy!
