How to Draw Bangs

Draw a circle for the head and then draw in the facial guideline and neck.

Define the shape of the head and face, then draw the ear. Notice the pointed chin and move to step three.

Draw the shape of the neck and you can move to step four.

Let's start drawing the bangs. I include a few different styles. The first is the parted bang style with the hair in a ponytail.

Next, we have the thick straight lined bang style also in a ponytail.

And lastly, the thick, jagged bang style with the hair down straight. Erase the mistakes and guides, then you're finished.

This is the line art when you are done. If you chose another style from this lesson, just erase the guides and mistakes from those.

Description: For those of you who have been waiting for a lesson that can show you how to draw bangs, here is one that I think you may like. Drawing bangs isn't too difficult, but there are many styles of bangs that you can create, short ones, long ones, jagged, straight, curly or parted. I chose to go with a simple jagged style bang. This is a playful bang style that is simple to recreate so get busy doing it.
