How to Draw an Epic Dragon

Step 1. Guidelines


First, start with the guidelines for the dragon and girl.

Step 2. Face Shape


Then, go ahead and work on the head shape for the dragon, and his jaws. Take your time with this step.

Step 3. Teeth Features


Then, work on the teeth layered on the upper and lower jaws.

Step 4. Mouth Features


After, go ahead and draw the long forked tongue.

Step 5. Body Shape


After that, you're gonna want to draw the neck of the dragon first, and then the upper arm as well as the legs and back of the dragon. Go ahead and sketch the girl in as well!

Step 6. Dragon Wings


Then, go ahead and draw the wings for the dragon as well as the tail.

Step 7. Final Line Art


Once that has all been drawn, this is what your final result should look like, great work!

Description: This lesson is for all of you artists out there both new and seasoned who love drawing dragons of all sorts. Today, I will be teaching you how to draw an epic dragon, step by step. The drawing of this epic dragon is one of my best pieces I have drawn as far as dragons go and I know that many of you will tackle drawing his green giant of a dragon asap. I especially love the coloring I did on this piece. The fire and all the surrounding clouds really sets the stage for how powerful and massive this dragon is. I also added a dragon rider to show the scale of how big the green dragon is. I do hope you enjoy drawing this epic green dragon as much as I did making it.
