How to Draw an Easy Shark

Artist: Dawn / October 11, 2010

Step 1.

Start with a circle, and then add a facial line. Next, draw the arched look of the body, and then draw a smaller circle for the bottom of the sharks tail end. Lastly, draw the shape of the tail fin, and then move to the next step.

Step 2.

Now you will draw the entire shape of the sharks body like you see here. This sort of looks like a thick eyebrow. Add some definition to the mid part of the tail fin.

Step 3.

Draw the rest of the fins, and then sketch in the eye, color in a pupil, and draw a sly grin.

Step 4.

The last drawing step consists of drawing in the sharp teeth, and draw out the gills. Add minor touch ups with detailing or definition. Erase the lines and shapes that you drew in step one.

Step 5.

This how your drawing should look when you are all done. You can color this shark in, and then you have a nicely drawn sea animal with razor sharp teeth.

Description: Welcome back everyone and I hope you are looking forward to another live session today at eight. Anyways, I will start the day by submitting another tutorial that is based on something easy. I will be teaching you "how to draw an easy shark", step by step. The reason why I chose to draw a shark and make an easy lesson out of it, is because sharks are one of the most popular sea animals in existence. A shark is what you call a feared animal species that has been thought to terrorize the waters of the seas they live in. I don’t know how many times I have read articles about people that have been attacked by sharks. If you ask me if I think that sharks prey on people, my answer would have to be no. This is because I know that humans are not a part of their regular diet, only fish, and other sea animals are usually on the platter. Anyways, I think you will have fun with this tutorial that is going to teach you to draw an easy shark, and the best part is, it will be cool looking too. I will be back my fellow artists with more drawing fun so stay tuned in. Peace peeps!
