How to Draw a Vintage Rose
1
We will start with the center shape for the rose. Next, sketch in the guidelines for the rose as well.
2
Using the bud guide you just made, draw in the structure of the petals until you have the center piece of a bloom.
3
Up next, draw four flower petals in a large, wide manner and then add lining to the edges of the flower petals like so. This is just a vintage style rose.
4
We will draw in some leaves. These leaves should be rounded spear shaped and they should also have rib detailing.
6
Lastly, we will finish off the flower by drawing the last three leaves. Add detailing to them as well, then proceed to erase the guidelines and mistakes.
7
This is where you will choose what to write on the banner. Add detailing to the edges of the banner like so, then you are all done.

Description: I have been really digging vintage art lately and today I have two lessons that are based on that vintage look for a nice tattoo or just a nice drawing for someone or even yourself. Up next, we will tackle the task of learning how to draw a vintage rose, step by step. This time the art for the rose should be a whole lot easier to replicate because I drew it in a manner to just include a few shapes. This tattoo design also has a nice banner that you can write whatever you want on it. I chose to go with 'lover' but you can write whatever. Vintage tattoos have been becoming more and more popular. One of the more famous tattooist out there popular for his vintage style is Ed Hardy. So go ahead and enjoy drawing a vintage rose and I will be back with some other fun stuff to draw.
