How to Draw a Gothic Rose

Let us start with the formation of a bloom which is also called the center of the rose.

Up next, begin drawing more of the rose petals like so, there should be three sections in all.

We will continue with drawing the rose by adding more petals. This time draw them in layers. This will form a full rose bloom when you are done with all the steps.

Again, draw more rose petals. Keep sketching them out and you will start to see a flower bloom.

Now you will finish up the drawing by sketching out the rest of the petals. This is where you should erase the mistakes you might have made to clean up your rose.

Up next, draw three leaves making sure that the edges are serrated.

Add detailing to the leaves and then move along to step eight.

We will now draw some thorns like so, and you can choose any thorn design you like.

Lastly, add some speckles all over the thorns. This is the last step so you can erase mistakes when you are happy with the drawing.

Color in your Gothic rose and show off your work. Also be sure to submit your finished drawing when done too so others can check out the skills.
