How to Draw a Religious Tattoo, Religious Art
1
The skull will be drawn in from the side view. You will need to draw out a circle shape for the head or skull, then sketch out the guide shape for the face and upper jaw.
2
Using the shapes you just made, begin sketching out the actual structure of the skull head. You will need to incorporate the lining for the brow, nose and upper row of teeth.
3
Start the drawing process for the rose. Begin by sketching out the inner petals that start out being pinched together.
4
Here you will draw out the larger petals of the rose since the rose is being drawn in full bloom. Roses are one of the worlds most beautiful flowers. Add notched detailing to the rose petals, then move to step five.
5
You will finish the flower by sketching out the last part of the flower which consists of two petal edges. Add detailing to the flower, then move to step six.
7
Draw out the hollow eye, then color it in solid. You will sketch in the skulls indent detailing on the upper jaw. This will add texture and define the skull's design. You will then make the indent to the side part of the skull's head which is also th
8
You will now draw out the long length of the rosary beads. I would start drawing the rosary beads by making the rope or chain first. Once that is done you can draw and color in the beads.
9
Now you can draw in your cross. I chose to go with a Gothic style cross, but you can choose to draw a simple cross if you like. Once the cross is done you can sketch out the crone of thrones then draw in the leaves for the roses and you are done.

Description: So here is a lesson that I was supposed to submit yesterday but for some reason or other I got side tracked with something else. So here is this belated lesson on "how to draw a religious tattoo", step by step. This skull design was drawn while I was live a couple days ago. I had a lot of fun developing this sketch into what it is today. I was going to make it a full colored image, but I know most folks wouldn't get this design inked on their bodies colored so I left it black and white. As you can see the rose is colored in a faint red shade to bring some color to the image. You can choose to tweak the concept any way you like, or you can choose to leave it as is. One thing is certain, I will be back with more drawing fun. Adios to those of you that love religious art.
