How to Draw a Lion King Lion, Lion King Lions

1

This is the rough sketch of three different types of lions from The Lion King. As you can see the lioness looks like a typical lion, and the king of the pride lands looks like your typical male lion with the mane and all. As for the lion cub, well he

2

The front paws are larger then the lions back legs or paws like so.

3

Here is different eye examples for the three types of lions in the movie. As you can see each eye is very expressive. Also notice how the top lids of the lions eyes are always larger then the bottom.

4

These are different paw positions that you can choose to draw your Lion King lion with. As you can see they are sketched out in a front, side, and inner view.

5

Now let's begin. Start by drawing a series of circles, three to be exact. One for the head, and two more for the torso and back end. Next, draw in the neck, and then draw out the snout guide shape. You will also need to add the one face guide.

6

Here is where you will begin sketching out the shape of the lion's head, ears, forehead, snout and chin.

7

Sketch in the shapes of the eyes like so, and because lions from Lion King have such expressive eyes, you might want to take your time as you draw out this part of the lion's face. When the eyes are drawn, you can sketch in the nose tip, and the side

8

Now you can begin sketching out the circular shapes around the eyes like you see here. When that is done you can draw the inner ear tissue, and then draw out the lining to form the mouth and the top lips.

9

We got the face taken care of, now it's time to draw out the body. Begin by thickening the lines for the lion's neck, and then draw out the chest, front legs, back, and hind leg. Be sure to sketch in some hair on the elbow as well.

10

Lets finish drawing out the rest of the body's outline by sketching out the paws, both front and back. When that is done you can add some toe lines, and then move to step eleven.

11

Sketch in the rest of the lion's toes on each paw, and then draw out the tail and be sure to sketch in that tuft at the tip.

12

Well guys it looks like you finally came to the end of this tutorial. All you have to do now is sketch in that marking line that separates the two toned color of the lion's body. Erase the lines and shapes that you drew in step one to clean up the dr

Now that you are all done, you can begin coloring in your drawing. I hope you lied learning how to draw a Lion King lion today guys, remember to join me for more drawing fun.

Description: Everyone knows that Disney’s 'The Lion King' was one of the first modern classic animated movies created in a long time back in the nineties. Even though it has been over fifteen years since it was a new released movie, people today are still big fans. Today I thought it would be cool to make a tutorial on "how to draw a Lion King lion", step by step. This is a very detailed, but very simple tutorial to understand and follow. I give a few examples of the lions from Lion King, and the tip steps will show you some rough sketches on Mufasa, the lionesses, and of course what a Lion King cub should look like. I was actually asked to make a lesson like this about a year ago, but because I was so busy and slow to filling requests back then, it slipped my mind to ever even do a tutorial on drawing lions from The Lion King. Anyways, I have always been a fan of the movie, and because I love all of the animals created, I think you will enjoy learning from such a detailed tutorial. Well I guess that just about does it for now, I mean there really isn’t too much more I can say about this lesson because it’s more of a visual description instead of verbal. I will be back in a few, but for now have fun and enjoy your drawing day!
