How to Draw a Glass Heart and Rose

Step 1.


The first circle that you will be drawing is actually for the rose that is inside of the heart. Make a simple circle like so.

Step 2.


The next thing you will do is draw out the actual shape of the heart like so. The style of heart you draw can be based on your preference.

Step 3.


Now that the heart is drawn, begin working on the rose or flower of your choice. Start with the inner petals, then slowly work your way outward.

Step 4.


Continue to sketch out the rose petals like so. The flower should have a full vibrant quality in its creation.

Step 5.


Draw in the last of the petals, then draw the stem of the rose as well as the leaves on the shaft of the stem.

Step 6.


For the last drawing step all you have to do is draw the long swooped stem which is in the same form as the arch of the heart. Detail the leaves, then you can start erasing the mistakes.

Step 7.


Here is what your glass heart comes out looking like when you are all done. Now you can color in the design.

Description: I have another lesson for you all that I think you will love. I wanted to do something else for a tutorial based on the art of a heart. Since I liked the shattered or glass heart so much, I made another design called “how to draw a glass heart and rose", step by step. This is one of my favorite heart submissions because the subtlety is so sweet. The precious looking rose inside of the heart looks like its being protected by the outer hard exterior of the heart shell. I had help coming up with the design idea, overall I think it came out fantastic, and I'm really eager for you guys to try out this simple task of drawing a glass heart with a rose inside.
