How to Draw a Twister, Tornado
1
Begin the first step by drawing yourself a nice soft looking tunnel swirl like so. Be sure that the end is pointed.
2
You will begin shaping out the sides of the twister by drawing layers of bumps. This will create the intense look of the twister.
3
Next, carefully draw in the thick dark lines that are in the same rhythm of the twisters shape or body. These lines look a little like tiger stripes.
4
Lastly, draw in all the effects, detailing, debris, and dusty cloud at the end of the twister. Erase the mistakes like so, then you are all done.

Description: Today I thought I would show you folks "how to draw a twister", step by step. I do have a lesson on a tornado, but I just got done watching the movie 'Twister' for the fourth time, and after so many years I still enjoy the film. The twister that you will be drawing is a lot easier then the one I drew and uploaded in the past. This version is cartoony, neat, and very powerful looking. Last year there was actually a twister that came through where I live. To be honest, I thought these monstrous creations formed in hot areas, not dry cool mild areas. I guess the weather was just right to form the perfect recipe for a tornado in the upper north east part of the United States. I really enjoyed making this tutorial on drawing a twister. As you know the season is here where we will unfortunately see, or hear about these massive formations hitting ground.
