How to Draw a Frangipani, Plumeria Flower
1
The first thing you need to do is make a circle for the center of the flower guide. Add the lining in the center, then proceed to step two.
2
Here you will begin by sketching out the first pedal. Notice the pedal looks more like a spoon. It curls on one side to form a cup like shape.
3
Begin sketching out the second pedal like so. Notice how the pedal is thicker or wider than the first one you made.
4
Now start the sketching process to making your third flower pedal like so. The detailing near the edge of the flower should make your Plumeria pedal look cupped.
5
Almost done guys. We will tackle our fourth pedal. This one should end up looking like a cup. The edge of the pedal should fold in on both sides, and there should also be some detailing as well.
6
For the last drawing process all you have to do is sketch out the final pedal. add some minor detailing, erase the mistakes because you are going to start the shading process now.
7
Start with a dark filler foundation in the center of the pedal. As you move away from the center begin lighting up the contrast.
8
Notice how the second pedal isn't as dark as the other. This is because the light source is coming from the left side of the flowers position. down in the middle the darkness remains.
9
Work on getting your third flower pedal shaded in. the bottom side and center of the flower should be darker then the rest of the pedal.

Description: I have two flower sketches for you today and they are going to be beautiful. Up first I will show you "how to draw a Plumeria", but they are also called Frangipanis. These beautiful blooming tropical buds can be found all over the tropical parts of the world like Brazil, Mexico and the Caribbean. The Plumeria is such a fabulous looking flower because of the subtle beauty that it holds. It has five pedals shaped like propellers, and inside each one is a distinct color. Now even though the Frangipani is beautiful, they have some side effects if you touch the sap from the plant. The sap from the plant can cause irritation to the skin and eyes if exposed to. There is a wide range of colors like pink, yellow, a combination of both and even pure white. You will also see this flower design on the backs, arms or legs of tattoo enthusiasts as it is a very popular flower tattoo. Anyways, enjoy drawing this sketch of a Plumeria or Frangipani and I will be back soon. Adios people!
