How to Draw a Flower for Beginners

Step 1.


Begin by drawing an egg shape and then add the two lines to create the bulb in the center of the flower.

Step 2.


Go ahead and draw the petals. As you can see it is sort of shaped like a heart with a ruffle.

Step 3.


Create the center of the bulb by drawing some simple lines.

Step 4.


Now define the shape of the middle section of the flower by adding the outer petals. As you can see the edges are ruffled over because the wider you go out, the more the flower is bloomed.

Step 5.


Working from the center draw in the remaining flower petals and as you get lower, the petals get larger. Add some detailing and erase any mistakes.

Step 6.


Lastly, draw some simple leaves around the flower.

Step 7.


That's it, you are all done and have finished this lesson on drawing a flower for beginners.
